From the Gondo factory in Western Muranga County, this coffee does not disappoint. This region sits on fertile, red, volcanic soil which is known to produce some of the world's best coffee. Because of nearby Mt. Kenya, the region is kept cooler and has good respiration, which helps the vegetation grow in a stable climate. This region not only boasts its superb coffee but also much of the tea that Kenya produces comes from this region. Roasted dark, this coffee is always good as a strong, bold, cup with notes of caramel, baker's chocolate, and orange.
